About Harry

Harry Huxley is an 18-year-old folk-pop singer-songwriter from Chester, making music that brings together the storytelling side of folk with the energy of pop. His songs are built around acoustic guitars, genuinely heartfelt lyrics and real experiences that he can turn into something people can relate to.

Songwriting is a huge part of who Harry is. He loves taking things he’s experienced, felt or thought about and turning them into songs. What matters most to him is that people can listen to those songs and take their own meaning from them. Everyone connects with music differently, and Harry wants his songs to be something people can see a bit of themselves in.

He also loves performing. There’s something about being on stage, hearing a crowd and seeing people react to a song that makes all the time spent writing it worthwhile. If something Harry has written can mean something to someone, help them through something or simply make them feel less alone, he couldn’t ask for much more.

Harry has already had some great opportunities early in his journey. He’s had two plays on BBC Introducing Merseyside, as well as airplay on Dee 106.3, supported Billy Lockett at Manchester’s Deaf Institute and shared the stage with Myles Smith. He’s also performed at Deva Fest near Chester and The Cavern Club in Liverpool.

Harry takes inspiration from artists such as Noah Kahan, Myles Smith and Cameron Whitcomb, particularly the honesty and feeling they bring to their music. He’s taking those influences and putting his own experiences into the songs he writes, really defining the folk-pop sound.
